LVL laminated veneer lumber (Laminated Veneer Lumber,) is a material made of thick veneers that are laminated along the grain direction, hot-pressed and glued, and then sawed. It can make up for the shortcomings of artificial fast-growing timber material, such as soft material, low strength, and large dimensional variability, realize the best use of inferior materials and the large use of small materials, and alleviate the contradictions caused by the shortage of wood.

Process principle: LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is a material made of thick veneers that are stacked in the direction of the grain, hot-pressed and glued, and then sawed. It is similar to the plywood production process, and the veneer preparation process is almost the same. The main difference lies in the assembly, hot pressing and post-processing procedures.

Due to its advantages in specifications and strength performance, LVL has a very wide range of applications. According to the purpose, it can be divided into:

Structural LVL (load-bearing component): including the load-bearing structural components of building beams and columns, wooden houses, etc.;

Non-structural LVL (non-load-bearing components): including furniture, stairs, doors, door and window frames, interior partitions, etc.
